Dance Club

The dance club had its beginnings in the early 1960’s when a group of Sun Prairie

Women felt their husbands’ needed more instruction in dancing and hired a

couple from Stoughton to come to Sun Prairie and give weekly lessons. When

the lesson series ended, the students were having so much fun they decided

to form a club and continue the dances but without the instructors in attendance.

Each dance will start with a social hour/cash bar at 6:00 PM, dinner at 7:00 PM, and dancing from 8:00 until 11:00 PM. A detailed mailing and sign-up form will be sent approximately four weeks prior to each dance. The 2009-2010 membership fee is $60.00 per couple. The per-dance fee will be $50.00 per member couple and $65.00 for guests. Membership fees primarily cover the cost of the bands, postage and mailings; per dance charges cover the meal, tax, service, and room use fees.
